This is a partnership with Angus Council Social Work to fit minor
adaptations to suit your needs. Referrals are made by an Occupational Therapist
however referrals for grab rails can be made direct from the client.
Key Benefits
- Dedicated joiner fitting the aids / equipment with proven skills and
experience
- Clients are contacted first to arrange suitable date for visit
- Opportunity to feedback to Care and Repair / Social Work on the service received
Items supplied
- Banister rails - A second banister rail to make it
easier to ascend and descend the stairs.
(Only by recommendation of the Occupational Therapist unless the client
wishes to pay for the materials in which case they can go through the small
repairs service)
-
- Key Safes - Useful if
you have a lot of service providers coming into your home and aren't always
able to let them in. This is a code operated safe which stores a spare
key for your home. The code for the safe is only given to those who
will need to access your home and do not have their own key. (Only by
recommendation of the Occupational Therapist).
-
- Lowered thresholds -
To eliminate hazards of tripping on a threshold. Especially useful for
those who need to use a wheelchair or walking frame. (Only by recommendation
of the Occupational Therapist).
-
- Grab rails - Internal or external rails can be supplied
and fitted either by the recommendation of
the Occupational Therapist or, if the client is happy to indicate where the
rail should go, a request can be made direct to Care and Repair without an
Occupational Therapist assessment.
